Prayer Chain |
|
What is a prayer chain? A prayer chain is a spiritual alarm system which communicates and takes powerful action on the needs of the congregation. It's people committed to prayer on behalf of the congregation, member of the family, or friend.
How does it work? It works in two ways. The first is a telephone prayer chain. Members of the telephone prayer chain are willing to accept a call, listen to the prayer request, say a prayer for the person in need, and call the next person on the list. The second is an email prayer chain. This group of people who are willing to receive an email with a prayer request and pray for the person described in the email.
What if I have a prayer request? When we activate the prayer chain, there will be a telephone number and an email address for people to call if they have a prayer request. The person making the call will identify the person by first name (but not necessarily, it may be anonymous) and describe the need for prayer.
Who needs prayer? A few examples will help: your sister is diagnosed with cancer, a friend has a drug problem, an uncle lost his job, your mother is having surgery, or a child is taking a difficult exam. The list is infinite.
How do I become a member? Contact Deacon Bert after mass or by email at blhomme(at)gmail.com (replace the (at) with @). |
