The Gift Shop is collecting the lids from Dannon Yoplait yogurt for Breast cancer.   There will be a box in the vestibule to collect the lids.  Please drop your clean lids in the box.   Thank you.

 

 

Fr. Tom Donoghue, OP has been moved to the National Rehabilitation Hospital for theraphy.

 

 

Please remember in your prayers Mrs. Freda Bagley who had surgery on Tuesday,October 25th, for her broken leg.
 

Please check our progress on the thermometers by the entrances.  We’re just half-way to our goal.  Also, when sending in your payments, please us the specified Capital Campaign Envelopes.  If you do not use the envelope or indicate on the check, your donation is funneled into the general offertory and we then have to research to make the corrections.   Please help by using the Capital Campaign Envelopes.

 

The Evangelization/Outreach Committee will be asking for your help as we prepare for the 2011 Thanksgiving Day Dinner, which will be held on Thursday, November 24, in the parish Hall.   We will be serving hot delicious meals to the members of our Community, especially the “Sick and Shut-Ins.”   At the end of October, sign-up sheets for Food and Donations and service volunteers will  be posted in the vestibule of the Church.

"The SFDS Computer Workshop - 2011"

 

Back In Session

 

The Computer Workshop, is now back in session. If you have questions about using computers, and want to explore the answers, you are welcome to participate in the Saint Francis de Sales Computer Workshop. This workshop is open to all Saint Francis de Sales Church members.

 

 

 

The Parish Hall and the first floor of the school, are now occupied by the Geneva Ivey Day School, for children ages two to five years old. The school's hours are 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. For further information please call (202) 812-4437.

 

 

 

Around the Diocese

 

Members of the Immaculate Conception Shrine Council #4944, Knights of Columbus are hosting the Annual Fruit Sales.   Fliers are inserted in the bulletin.  Return orders to Thomas L. Jones or drop in the collection basket and Mr. Jones will receive them.
